Below are some sample recommended nightclubs in Milan. Enjoy!
Killer Plastic, Viale Umbria 120 (tel. 02-733996; bus: 92)
KIller Plastic is a favorite disco. Gay night is generally on
Thursday nights in Killer Plastic and gay men (and some lesbians)
are welcome onto the high-tech dance floors. Saturday in Killer
Plastic is the night to go if you are interested in seeing the creme
of the fashion world enjoying themselves as it is always full of
high fashion. On all other nights a visit to Killer Plastic is generally
fun.
Hollywood, Corso Como 15 (tel. 02-6598996; Metro: Garibaldi or
Moscova)
Hollywood is small and has a sound system that's so good that you
might get swept up in the fun of it all. It's open Tuesday to Sunday
10:30pm to at least 3am.
Grand Café Fashion, Corso di Porta Ticinese 60 at Via
Vetere (tel. 02-89400709).
Grade Cafe Fashion is a place where you must wear your most fashionable
attire here, please, as most of the other patrons will be doing
just that -- and looking camera ready. A bar is upstairs, with the
dance floor downstairs. A restaurant serves from 9pm, and the dance
music begins at 11:30pm. Theme evenings are presented.
Coquetel, Via Vetere 14 (tel. 02-8360688; bus: 59), is loud and
wild and celebrates the American-style party-colored cocktail with
a whimsy that could only be all Italian. The action around here,
coupled with babble from dozens of regulars, ain't exactly sedate.
It's open Monday to Saturday 8am to 2am.
Gimmi's, via Cellini 2 (tel. 02-55188069; bus: 29, 30, or 63)
Gimmi's is a rather classy joint among the more affluent Milanese
youth. On-site is a restaurant open Thursday to Tuesday from 8:30
to 10:30pm; the dancing to '60s and '70s music starts after dinner
is over. During the week the cover is 10€, including the first
drink. On Friday and Saturday the entrance is 16€, also including
the first drink. Reservations and a jacket are required for the
restaurant.
